Our department was established within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Aksaray University. The language of instruction is Turkish, and there is no preparatory class. The department accepted its first students through additional placement in the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. 39 students were admitted to the daytime program and 38 to the evening program, bringing the total quota to 77, nearly fulfilling the entire quota.
At its inception, the department employed one Associate Professor, three Assistant Professors, and one Lecturer. Currently, the department continues its educational activities with two Professors, two Associate Professors, four Assistant Professors, and three Research Assistants. In addition to these faculty members, experienced faculty members from other departments of our university also support our education. Our department, which has expanded its staff with the faculty members who joined us, has 493 undergraduate students as of the 2017-2018 Academic Year. The Department of Management Information Systems accepted students for Master's degree education in the Fall semester of the 2015-2016 Academic Year and for the Doctorate Program in the Fall semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year.
