Management Information Systems was established in order to eliminate the lack of manpower in this field and to train people who will do research in this field. In our age, effective use of computers is needed in almost every profession. People in managerial positions want to project the future of the institution and see possible expansions based on the developments in the past of the institution they lead. This requires strong computer knowledge and the ability to use this knowledge.

The Department of Management Information Systems, of which two of its three pillars are business and one of which is computer, means to train businessmen who know computers. The main purpose of the Department of Management Information Systems is to use the information obtained through computer systems to meet the changing needs of the business world in the 21st century, in the fields of business and management. is to train manpower that can be applied to functions and solving problems. The aim of the Management Information Systems undergraduate education is to train managers who have information knowledge at a level to develop information systems in enterprises and who have business knowledge to manage these systems.

They work in various fields that require coding such as business intelligence and systems analyst, application developer, IT manager, network administrator.
They work in various positions in jobs that require analytical skills as they have the necessary knowledge in the basic functions of the business such as production, human resources, public relations and marketing.
