The first event in the ‘Alumni Series’, organised by the Department of Management Information Systems at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Aksaray University, took place in the Malazgirt Conference Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with the participation of our students and academic staff.
The event’s first guest was M. Murat Mıdık, an alumnus of our department and co-founder of genwi.ai. The session, which began at 11.00 am on Wednesday 14 October 2026, saw our alumnus share his experiences from his university years, his career journey in the IT and artificial intelligence sectors, and his entrepreneurial endeavours with our students.
In his talk, Mıdık discussed his own student experience, his career progression and the advantages that the Management Information Systems discipline brings to the sector, whilst also offering advice to students planning their careers.
Following an interactive question-and-answer session where our students’ queries were addressed, the event concluded with a presentation of thanks.
Our ‘Alumni Series’ events, which bring our alumni together with current students to offer industry insight and inspiration, will continue with new guests.
We would like to thank our alumnus, Mr M. Murat Mıdık, for his valuable insights and contributions, and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
