With the start of the 2026–2027 academic year, the orientation programme for first- and second-year students of the Department of Management Information Systems was successfully completed within our faculty.
As part of the programme, our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr Haluk DUMAN, outlined the vision and mission of our university and faculty; he also provided comprehensive information on the ASÜM application, academic advising mechanisms, the organisation of teaching and learning, the Bologna Information Package, the ECTS credit system and medical and social services.
Our Department Chair, Prof. Dr Hülya BAKIRTAŞ, provided an assessment of our department’s academic vision, the integration of information technology and management, the structure of the curriculum, and the career and employment opportunities for our graduates within the sector.
Later in the event, our university’s administrative and coordination units provided our students with information on the following topics:
Exchange Programmes: International Relations Co-ordinator Prof. Dr Melayib BİLGİN and Lecturer Muammer Fuat ASLAN provided information on the Erasmus+ programme application processes, acceptance stages and international opportunities.
Industry Experience and Dual Education: On behalf of the Dual Education Coordination Unit, Prof. Dr Melayib BİLGİN explained how the dual education model operates and the industry-related benefits it offers to students.
Student Affairs Processes: On behalf of the Directorate of Student Affairs, Head Serdar ÖZBAY delivered a detailed presentation on course registration and selection processes, opportunities for lateral transfers and graduation requirements.
