Orientation training was provided to our department students.

The Orientation Training for Management Information Systems Department students was held simultaneously with the Business Administration Department. Our students showed great interest in the program, which was organized to support the adaptation process to university life and guide students in their academic planning.

The program began with an opening speech by our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Haluk DUMAN. In his speech, he emphasized that university life is not solely about academic success; personal development, digital competence, and career planning are also fundamental elements of the education process.

Our Department Head, Prof. Dr. Hülya Bakırtaş, who also participated in the training, addressed the structure of MIS, which integrates management and information technology disciplines, and provided information about the department's academic content, application areas, and specialization opportunities. She also touched upon important aspects students should consider in their career planning, offering guidance and providing information about job opportunities and sectoral expectations for MIS graduates.

As part of the orientation, students were informed about the faculty and department structure, course selection and registration processes, library facilities, Erasmus programs, student clubs, career planning and internship processes, and the Cooperative Education Program. Specifically, within the framework of the Cooperative Education Program, an applied education model that enables students to have direct contact with the sector during their education was introduced, and explanations were given regarding its operation and application process.

The training concluded with a question-and-answer session followed by best wishes for success.
